Happy New Year! Jan 12, 2020

Inside the StudioHere's an image of the stained glass panel made for and recently installed inside the new studio. It is surrounded by hangings, the broken mirror piece and objects made by fusing and thermoforming glass. Anyone who hasn't had a chance to visit already is welcome to schedule a private visit to see the new space. Thank you again for the continued support!ImageAug 9, 2019Public 0 0New StudioJul 26, 2019 View post I'm very happy to announce that I've moved into a new stained glass studio. It is being shared with La Couleur du Verre: https://lacouleurduverre.com/en/home/, and we recently had an open studio weekend where we invited friends and neighbors to visit our new space. We've begun making stained glass panels for it which you can see best from the inside (when the daylight shines in) but also from the outside. I'll soon post another image that gives you a good view of the interior. This move is an important step professionally, and it wouldn't have been possible without your support. A big thank you to all of my patrons!ArticleJul 26, 2019Public 0 2Berkeley Books of Paris readingI hope you enjoy this video of "All I can see is the white silicone" filmed during the reading at Berkeley Books of Paris. The reading took place during the vernissage/inauguration/ celebration of the window I made for this very special bookstore.VideoJun 23, 2019Public 0 0Berkeley Books WindowSeveral months ago a display-case window was broken at the independent bookstore Berkeley Books of Paris. The shop owner saved the pieces and asked me to make a window that would incorporate these shards. Other than that I had no constraints. I decided to use a lot of textured glass, so that the window would be visible even without any light shining from behind it. This image captures the window with a led light, illuminated one evening during a celebratory reading and vernissage.ImageJun 1, 2019Public 0 0PLU6 Paris Lit Up Magazine LaunchMay 11, 2019 View post Last weekend I was invited to perform at the launch of Paris Lit Up's 6th magazine issue. I made stained glass poetry on the stage of Les Copeaux, in Montreuil. The projection behind me is made of images of various stained glass pieces that I painted and built. On the table, in the shadows, is glass that I would percussively cut and break. This provides rhythm and space between each poem I would read into the microphone. Behind these sounds are recorded guitar layers that helped punctuate and heighten an otherworldly atmosphere.ArticleMay 11, 2019Public 0 0Irruzioni FestivalApr 13, 2019 View post I've just returned from the Irruzioni Festival in Padova, Italy, where I was invited to make some live stained glass poetry. The theme of the festival this year was "Suspensions" - for which I made a series of stained glass hangings, installed at Fistomba Social Park, and a closing night performance entitled "Between Refractions." It was a multimedia affair, with a projection, original music, poetry, and the breaking of glass. It was an honor, and lots of fun to be a part of this International event.ArticleApr 13, 2019Public 0 0New domestic windowLast week I completed a commission for a stained glass window inside a private home in Paris. I really enjoyed using a mixture of new and rescued glass fragments. The main design was completed before I began building the window, but the use of broken/recycled glass allows me to discover the art while it is being shaped with my hands. I think this is part of what makes these windows feel dynamic and vital to make, and hopefully to see.ImageMar 10, 2019Public 0 0Best Expat Artist of 2018I'm excited to announce that I was voted Best Expat Artist in Paris 2018 by Expatriates Magazine. Here's a link to the article on their website. Hard copies of the magazine are available at various locations around the city, and if you'd like a copy I'm happy to send one your way. And, a big thank to everyone who supported me with a vote!ImageJan 27, 2019Public 0 0Progression(s)Here is a video made by Patrice Velut showcasing the exhibition Progression(s) at Espace Christiane Peugeot, of which I'm happy to be a part.
