Hello, all! Here are the stories I wrote earlier this week. I don't have any particular favorites from this batch, though I think I did a better-than-average job with pacing on this most recent batch. I'm starting to get a bit better at the rhythm of the thing... trying to get to the central conflict of the story by the bottom of page one, and have the climax (such as it is) set up while there are still some cards to play, as it were. Still not perfect, but given the constraints of the project, that's at least partially by design. I ended up in Virginia this weekend somewhat unexpectedly, and have only just now returned to my notebook and computer and deck of cards. I intend to get the next podcast episode out tomorrow, with the Patreon-only bonus episode (and an additional mid-month check-in post, of some sort) falling to later in the week. Greetings, all! I hope you're all staying warm and safe as we roll into February. Some updates as follows (apologies for the length; I'm using this platform as a journal of sorts, so a lot of this is mainly just for my records down the line): 1.) As of right now, I have completed 29 (well, more like 28.7) stories in the 31 days of January. Less than ideal given that finishing a story every day is, like, the main thing of this project, but even more important to me is its experimental nature. New Patreon-only episode -- tentatively titled "The View from the Terrace" , written 3/9/26 -- to drop tomorrow. Some recent stories: 3/22/26 - "Box with Air Holes": An underworld "runner" of illicit and/or secret packages is saddled with an unexpected housemate... and, shortly thereafter, an unusual (and delicate) package to deliver. He is also being harassed by a particular gang of toughs.
