Image Latest post PublicMilk Incoming! February is when we start to long for fresh milk. Our mama goats get a rest starting in November. Daylight hours affect milk production and milking during their pregnancy can be hard on their bodies when they are also trying to stay warm. We have Guernseys for their sweet milk abd even sweeter temperaments. We never have to worry about them jumping our of their pastures or knocking over small children when being handled. Can't wait to show you babies in a few weeks!

I really thought this little pink chainsaw was a dangerous gimmick when I unboxed it for a review, BUT IT IS AMAZING! This year for the first time I have been able to take tree trimmings and turn them into cordwood. In historic literature what I am collecting is called 'faggots', small pieces of firewood that can be collected by hand and stored in bundles. A common job for children since the wood requires little skill or strength and makes your larger, split-able wood go further in winter wood burning. I think it is very pretty stacked and ready for next year's fire once it has dried for a summer. Article Nov 16, 2023 Public 0 0Milk Incoming! February is when we start to long for fresh milk.
