Hi everyone, Please find below the first draft of 1m1 The Prologue from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (or Sorcerer's Stone). I'm not sure I realised that the Main Tune and real heart of the whole film is based on Hungarian minor (in other words a #4 in a harmonic minor). But it's clearly there in the first 8 bars. Stacked minor chords are frequent (bars 9-16). We find the Hexatonic mode being used in bar 20-25 as well. Double harmonic scales in bar 31 etc and of course the famous Hedwig theme from bar 47. For these, you have to do 59s and 29s cut downs (not audio edits) and stings and alternatives which means muting various MIDI notes and commands and choosing the best sections - it can be really fiddly when there's no convenient punch-in point. Then we also do audio stems for the main track which can also take a little time - in Logic you have to solo the track and the aux bus where the reverbs are as well as mute all the other tracks that you're not using.
