What's the Damage?It determine what sort of fix you need to know your damage type and your fabric type. Damage Wear Wear is a thin spot caused by friction. Wear is found on the bottoms of socks, knees, cuffs, and inner thigh of pants, sweater elbows, and spots where bag straps rub. The friction on these spots causes little bits of the fabric to pull out and fall away, leaving a thin area behind. You can recognize a worn area by how thin the fabric has gotten. Can you see your hand through it? Would you describe it as "cobweb", "tissue paper" or "hanging on by a thread"? Worn areas don't need "mending" as much as they need "reinforcement".
