Time just seems to be getting shorter and shorter doesn't it 😅 Image May 12 Lily pad sketches and inspiration photos I recently visited Monet's garden and the famous water lily pond featured in his paintings. Since it is mermay, I thought I would try painting the kind of mermaid the might live among lily pads. I wanted to make this mermaid very enticing in the eyes, innocent looking even and that led me to make the design quite child like, so that this predator might attract prey whose instincts is to try and help a child in trouble and then fall in the water.
