$14/moMorning Writing ClubThis tier includes:Access to the Morning Writing Club accountability Zoom sessions: During the first week of each month, join Chelsea Hodson and the Morning Writing Club over Zoom on weekdays from 5-7AM Pacific Time / 8-10AM Eastern Time. Every morning, Chelsea begins the session with an original prompt, and then we write together at the same time with our cameras turned off. You can join us for all of these sessions, or some of them (or for the full two hours or just a portion of that time) depending on your availability. Every Friday, we spend the last 15 minutes of the session talking about how our writing went that week.Access to Chelsea's Generative Workshop: On the first Saturday afternoon of each month, Chelsea will leads a workshop with prompts, exercises, activities, and discussions designed to invigorate your practice and get you out of a writing rut.Access to the shared Tracking Google Doc: After each writing session and then throughout the month, you'll have the option to enter your progress in a shared Google Doc spreadsheet. This will look something like this: "Chelsea: 9/15/22, 2 hours, 800 words, had a slow start but pushed through and got to an interesting scene." You can choose to track your word count or time amount or both, but the goal is to quickly record your progress at the end of a session, see what other writers are doing, and to add an extra layer of accountability. Monthly one-on-one Zoom meeting with Chelsea Hodson: Every month, we will schedule a one-on-one 45-minute Zoom consultation in which you can ask me anything related to writing, editing, publishing, and so on. I can offer personalized prompts, personalized reading lists, and we can discuss specific approaches to develop a consistent writing practice that fits into your schedule.This is a great option if you're in need of some guidance on finishing your book, if you want to work on publishing in literary journals, or if you're encountering writer's block. I'm here to help!

This tier includes everything that the $9/month Morning Writing Club tier offers in addition to monthly manuscript editing and monthly one-on-one Zoom meetings. Monthly manuscript editing: Each month, you will send me up to 5,000 words of writing (this is about 20 double spaced pages of prose) at least three days before your scheduled meeting. In our meeting, I will return your manuscript with line edits as well as a short editorial response.Monthly one-on-one meeting with Chelsea Hodson: Each month, we have a one-on-one 60-minute Zoom meeting in which we will go over my edits to your manuscript, I can answer any questions, and we can discuss next steps. I can also offer personalized prompts, reading recommendations, publishing ideas, and more.I periodically offer manuscript consultations outside of Patreon, but this tier is designed for writers who want to work with me on a monthly basis (this is similar to how I worked with writers when I taught at an MFA program). I’m happy to work on prose of any kind, and I can help you generate brand new material or work on a revision of a longer project, or a mix of the two. You are free to cancel any time, so there is no obligation or pressure to work with me for any specific period of time—work with me for one month or for one year!
