In preparation for this session, you will email me 12 images of your work, and a concise list of your career goals over the next 2 years. We will talk, by phone or zoom (whichever is more comfortable for you), about how to reach your goals. We may break down your process into actionable steps, or re-evaluate your goals as we discover what you really want, or revise your goals based on what is realistic in relation to the current state of your art. I've done this kind of consulting before in both group and individual contexts. It is not for the faint of heart. I'm not going to tell you that everything is possible for you. I will offer you all the attention, experience, and insight I have with a goal of moving you forward with your career as a serious professional artist. If you do this once, and you're pleased, I encourage you to renew at this level periodically in order to hold yourself accountable and to analyze next steps.

I have written art criticism for 15 years, for outlets including The Huffington Post, American Artist, and Whitehot Contemporary Art. My focus is contemporary figurative art. Within that territory, I keep up with the work of hundreds of artists.At this tier, I will request images by email of your favorite work in your collection, a written description of your tastes in art, and some thoughts on which direction you'd like to go. I will work up a list of 5-10 artists for you to consider, and we will hold a conversation, by telephone or zoom, about your responses to the artists I propose, and next steps for your collection. There will be follow-up by email.I have never been, and am not now, compensated by artists to share their work with collectors. I will be seeking only to identify art that would answer to your tastes and goals as a collector. I consider myself qualified to advise in relation to a collector's passions, but not in relation to art as a financial instrument. I cannot guarantee that any work you acquire will appreciate over time. I am looking for work that you will love and find joy in owning.This tier is designed to function as an introduction to my services as an art advisor. If you find yourself pleased with the experience, I will welcome working out whatever further relationship best serves your needs as a collector.
