It's also nice, since it is clean from both sides. Joints like this are strange from todays standpoint. When it's closed, you don't know what's inside. It could be a domino, a dowel, heck, even plastic. back in the day you would see this join and know there was something handcrafted inside. So I can absolutely understand people today, when they say it makes no sense if you don't see the joinery. Also, documentation has become super important in my opinion. Enjoy the v
