$20/moDuck SponsorHiddenThere are two types of ducks at Fairytale Farm Animal Sanctuary: Pekin and Muscovy. All of our Pekins were rescued from a box in a parking lot. They were found shortly after Easter and were likely used as props and then discarded when they were no longer useful. We also have many Muscovy ducks. Muscovy ducks are rather unique in that it is a waterfowl that has the body of a duck, red around their eyes like a turkey, behaves like a goose in that it hisses rather than quacks, and roosts like a chicken. We have many ducks and it requires a lot of feed, along with regular vet care and maintenance and upkeep of their pond. Thank you for helping us improve their quality of life!

We are so glad that she was brought to us! She is gentle and will let you pet her if you show her a calm presence. Pearl is the only turkey at our sanctuary and spends her days with our ducks. She spends so much time with them that sometimes we believe she thinks she is one! Pearl requires feed, regular vet care and health care. Thank you for helping us improve her quality of life!

$50/moGreat Pyrenees SponsorHiddenZeke is a Great Pyrenees that we rescued from a farm in Kentucky. He was purchased as a livestock guardian, but Zeke is deaf and was determined not fit for the job. He was left outside in a small kennel where weeds and grass overgrown around him. He received no vet care and had no consistent, healthy food source. When we rescued him, he was malnourished and covered in ticks. Zeke has proven to be a picky eater and requires expensive dog food to meet his health needs. He also needs special training because he is deaf. When you support Zeke, you are helping pay for his food, training, regular vet visits, healthcare, and grooming. They were separated from their mom and sold at auction as babies, had pneumonia, severe colic, a ripped IV and castration surgery. On the day their original rescue was contacted to pick them up, they were notified of another emergency situation. Thanks to the help of other local rescues, we were able to bring them to our sanctuary. They have been living their happiest lives.
