Article Latest postPublicWhat if the smoke was good?

AirVenture 2026 is behind us - what a fun week it was (yet again!), though the days leading up for that can be summarized in one word: smoke! If you were there, or even if you have just followed the stories of those flying in before the show's opening on Monday, you know what I'm talking about. Then the skies cleared up on Monday in time for the airshow, only to have performers create trails of fresh new smoke in the sky.

The event we discussed there, though, was not that pleasant for me at the time: a severe mechanical issue with the landing gear, which looked like it was leading to a landing on the belly as the manual gear extension method did not work.Videotoday at Aug 7 crawlPublic 0 0LAX in a BonanzaMar 22, 2025ArticleMar 22, 2025Public 0 0Starlink Mini in the cockpitI'll be at Sun 'n Fun in Lakeland in April, and I have signed up for a few forum presentations there.
