It's just a joke I wanna use in the eventual video essay I'm working on, but I MADE SOMETHING. And honestly, it only took about a few hours of work to get these 30 seconds together. Honestly, that's the most uplifting and reassuring aspect of this all because I was terrified that I was going to get stuck behind an editing wall. All I need to do now is finish up the script, edit it all together, and bingo-bango! We gots ourselves a video essay! There's a lot of mess going on in the world right now, but maybe we're looking at an early/mid march release? That'd be super cool! Thanks for hangArticleFeb 29, 2020Public 0 0Changing the Payout Timing/UpdateJust a quick update all: I've changed the payout method for patronage to only be when I've released a piece. My pacing has not been what I was hoping, and I don't want to try and rush a piece out every month when sometimes it takes longer. This means you'll be directly supporting my projects, and less-so me as a creator (which is what it should be at this point in time).ArticleJan 31, 2020Public 0 0Oh god it's finally publishedDec 19, 2019ArticleDec 19, 2019Public 0 0Thank You Patrons (day)Nov 20, 2019 Just a nice thank you to my patrons. :)...ArticleNov 20, 2019$1 tier & up 0 0A new essay! Untitled Goose Game!Oct 7, 2019 View post This one came as a bit of a surprise to me. I still plan on putting out my essay on the Legend of Zelda and Nostalgia this month and then transcribing it to video, but I hadn't expected to do much else. So, Untitled Goose Game was a bit serendipitous. I came up with the thesis for this one before I had actually played the game, and it didn't take long to form into, what I think is, an actually compelling philosophical read of the game. I will say: this is the exact content that I want to make. If there is a niche I want to have: it's this. Finding value and meaning in otherwise overlooked places. I appreciate your patience so much as I've been working on getting this one out there. I think I'm probably the most proud of this piece of anything I've worked on (even though I'll be the first to admit it has flaws and is not perfect by any means). I'll have more news on "Phase 2" of Neonstalgia in the coming week, but know that my next piece will not take nearly as long as this one has. Thank you again for all of your support!ImageAug 31, 2019Public 0 0Small updateThe MCU Death article is taking a bit longer than hoped for. I've rewritten most of what I've written and I'm fairly proud of what's there, but I'm still only half-way done. I've probably spent the most time working on this particular piece than any other, so hopefully it'll be half-way decent. If you're a patron you can still use the link in the prior post and check out the updated article. Thank you for supporting me, and I hope to put something out that'll be something special this time!ImageAug 3, 2019Public 0 0Patron Only WIP Post!I'm about half-way done with my post on the MCU and I think it's shaping up well.
