Video Latest postPublicChannel Update!

Hello everyone, I have a new video today, kinda. In short, after nearly 6 months of weekly videos, life caught up with me and it's time to scale back just a bit. For this reason, I'm also suspending my Patreon account. I'll keep making videos, I just might not hold myself to a weekly schedule. But don't worry, I'll keep doing monthly live streams and I should be putting out at least a video or two a month. I just needed a bit more free time on the weekends.

This is the first time I ever turned on the motors with the weapon mounted. The test was a great success, it's smooth and really stable, no vibration at all. In the video I only ever got to around 50% throttle, but off-camera I did a quick punch up to 100% and it stays stable. It's relatively quiet though, which is a bit disappointing, but there's still a lot of power behind it. The disc is around 7.5 pounds and spins at a top speed of about 6K RPM. The tooth is around 0.75" deep and has a tip speed of about 175 MPH. It's held into the pulley by 4 3/8-16 bolts, and the puArticleSep 25, 2017Public 0 2New Video Sunday! Here's a new installment of 'From Start to Part'. I decided to go brushless and that means flashing some ESCs with the right firmware. Check out my tutorial on how to do it!VideoJun 25, 2017Public 0 0It begins!Today, I start work on my 30 pound combat robot. I'll be documenting the whole process of course. These are just some of the parts I plan on using for the drive side of things. I haven't finalized the rest of the design or the weapon yet. I'm starting with the drive, then the design, then the weapon system. I'm looking to do brushless drive with Hobby King ESCs flashed with SimonK. Wish me luck.ImageToday at Aug 19 crawlPublic 0 1
