Amplifiers will receive the monthly update message sent to all supporters, and materials and a zoom link to participate to a monthly book club meeting. The next round of the book club will begin in November 2024, featuring my first book, Downwind: A People's History of the Nuclear West. We'll usually discuss a chapter or two per session, depending on how motivated the group is! When you sign up, you will receive a PDF of the reading and a recurring link for book club meetings, the date of which will be announced in the first week of each month. During book club gatherings I'll share more about the research which informed the chapter, answer your questions, and discuss whatever other topics the reading provokes. Amplifiers will have the opportunity to vote on future book club readings or discussion topics, a selection of which I will offer as we near the end of Downwind.I also anticipate using the "book club" as an opportunity for you to connect with and learn from some of the other researchers, writers, artists and activists I work with around the world: stay tuned!
