(Below Bronze level are 'Outer Court members', who are simply enrolled on the College mailing list). Bronze level members will not only receive mailings of the newsletters but also get exclusive access to certain videos that are not on general release to the public. As the college is now developing (August 2025) there is going to be more emphasis what might be called ground work. Before you can embark of the deeper aspects of esotericism, you must first learn the grammar and syntax that is applicable. This college is framed within the esoteric Christian tradition. Within this tradition, it was customary in the past for those joining a circle (Kirkus in Greek) to go through a period of preparation and instruction prior to baptism. This was mostly oral tuition. During this period, the catechumen, as the neophyte was called, only had access to the navis: 'nave' or 'ship' of the church. They were thought of as like fish, plucked out of the sea (emblematic of our watery planet Earth) and being prepared for a higher life of spirit. Baptism symbolised the washing away of impurities of mind and body that precluded the neophyte from accessing certain subtle energies. This was done both for the protection of the individual and also to preserve the purity of the atmosphere of the church. Thus the nave was separated from the rest of the church

In the context of The Invisible College, Knights are those with broader shoulders and a willingness to aid in the growth of this work. For in truth, self-development beyond a certain stage involves taking on responsibility for not just oneself but the work. Initially this help can be simply by paying an increased subscription. This should not be under-estimated. Without Patrons sharing the burden, the college cannot develop further than simply producing a few videos a month.To put this into an esoteric Christian context, we saw that the Bronze level was at the level of theory: it is about ground work in theory. In a traditional church (though not really nowadays) there was a divide between the nave and the 'Choir'. The word choir does not necessarily mean singers, although singing did play a big part in Christian rituals. It comes from the same roots as the Welsh word cor meaning circle, or to be more precise, a sacred, earth-bank circle. For originally Christians prayed out in the open and not inside buildings. This was in emulation of Jesus himself, who nearly always taught out in the open, with his disciples and often other people too gathered around him.The choir of a church is composed of the faithful. The technology for this is not yet in place but it will probably involve Zoom, SKYPE or such like. It is intended that in the fullness of time, it will be possible to hold conferences in person too, Barons will receive preferential discounts for conference attendance and may also be invited to speak at them. Normally, Barons will have already watched many Invisible College videos and read at least some of Adrian Gilbert's books. These cover a very wide field of interest but it is expected that Barons would have detailed knowledge in at least one of these as a personal interest. Examples of this could be Ancient Egypt, King Arthur or the Bible. This is not a condition for Baronhood but would be expected. Hopefully, as the college grows, Barons will act as moderators and give guidance on their subjects of special interest. They may also act as assistant mentors to newly joined members.

£100/moRoyal or 'Platinum' PatronsRoyal Patrons are those special people who wish to put far more into the work than they take out. Having realised the value of the Invisible College they are willing to support it wholeheartedly and have the means to do so. They will also be able to have personal contact with Adrian Gilbert by SKYPE, ZOOM. Phone or other means. This will be in order to discuss with them progress in their own personal development or to discuss the development of the college as a whole. As Royal members of the College they may be asked to give guidance themselves to Pawns, Knights and Barons. Whether they do so will be entirely their own choice. They will not be obligated to help. They will have all the other benefits of other tiers.
