This image was created from several overlayed photographs that I took through the microscope of the corroded surfaces of the bronze coin. I have reversed the head to create Janus, the ancient Roman god of beginnings and endings and of passage. The exhibition/silent auction was held at FENDI 677 Fifth Avenue at 53rd Street, New York City, 19th – 30th April 2006.
