East Tennessee to the Far EastEpisode 4 of my Japan series is live on Youtube. In this episode, I start my day at the Senso-Ji Temple, one of the premier historical and religious sites in Japan. I dig through the crowds of tourists to find spiritual connections with the temple complex. Then, I steer away from the tourist trail to explore the local side of Asakusa. I finish the day by visiting Good Ole Tennessee Bar, a Tennessee Vols-themed bar run by Yoshi Momoki, a Tokyo native who studied abroad at UT. Any time I travel, I make an effort to spend time walking through local neighborhoods. Getting a sense of daily life for the locals in places I travel is important to me. The Man Who Stepped Into TomorrowI am in action in Japan. My first video from my Japan series is live on YouTube. In this video, I arrive jetlagged in Tokyo and start slow by exploring the Shunjuku neighborhood. My personal highlight for this video was visiting the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, which I liken to Central Park in New York City. This video documents my first 24-36 hours in Japan, my first Asian country visited, and the first nation I was ever interested in visiting when I was a little boy. This is also my first time crossing the International Date Line. Leaving California on a Tuesday morning and landing in Tokyo Wednesday night was a trip unto itself. The adventure only ramps up from here. Join me as we explArticleApril 4Public 0 0Buon ViaggioThus begins a long voyage and pursuit of a dream. I am a traveler who wants to see as much of the world as I can. While much of my content will contain a philosophical and spiritual focus, there will be plenty of shenanigans, tipsy serendipity, music, adventure, and fun. For now, this is a passion project. My pie-in-the-sky dream is to make this project a stable revenue source that enables me to travel long-term and create great content. Your contribution will put me on the road so I can keep creating, discovering, and engaging with this big, wild world. Join me on this adventure if you dare.
