Bust made for handpainted texturing practice - I made an evil knight paladin. 10300 tris, every material information is on the same texture map.

Warforged Monk Fighting in a tavernJune 26 Warforged_Monk.zipArticleJune 26$4 tier & up 0 0ZugZug Challenge - final (for sure)That's all. Animation is done, and Lady Stoneheart looks now more alive (ha!). Many thanks to the ZugZug team, they're done really big work to organize such a big and comfortable community for artists around the world. That art theme was really interesting, and it's a honor to challenge such a great peopleImageJune 11Public 0 0ZugZug challenge - Final (or not?)#zugzugchallenge #gameofthrones #zugzugart #GoT #undead #redesign #stark #zugzugartchallenge #zugzug #texturing #stylized3dart #stylizedart #gameart #songoficeandfireImageMay 30Public 0 0ZugZug challenge - 7th WIPDeadline is coming! But my project is almost done, so I'm not nervous about it. Pose is finished, model require some final touches, also I need to create scene and paint lighting for it. I'm trying to find balance between her fearsome and horryfying appearance as Lady Stoneheart and her beautifulness and kind as Catelyn StarkImageMay 26Public 0 0ZugZug challenge - 7th WIPFirst texturing pass - and my first hand-painting experience! Lady Stoneheart as undead is different from the usual human skin tones, and later I will add to her surface some details (dark veins, rot patterns and other stuff). Hand-painting technique reminds me good old days of traditional painting experience (I wasn't good at it, but i liked process)ImageMay 21Public 0 0ZugZug challenge - 6th WIPI feel like a real-life Rambo. The retopology stage became a real battlefield, with work barely moving forward. Power and water outages. My mouse broke, and my PC started glitching. Various household surprises. I had to literally fortify the computer and work in fits and starts. Fortunately, the most time-consuming stage for me is over—it's time to bake the textures and start painting.ImageMay 19Public 0 0ZugZug challenge - 5th WIPStill working on retopology, I regret going with the asymmetrical draping of the skirt with patches and the hair with individual strands of a tousled, half-crazy hairstyle. However, the process is ongoing, and this stage won't last forever, and I can move on to my favorite part: textures.ImageMay 14Public 0 0ZugZug challenge - 4th WIPI've prepared a new WIP character for the challenge, Lady Stoneheart. I've slightly modified the bracelet and jewelry, added a hook for the trophy prosthetic, and sketched out the future pattern for the dress.ImageMay 4Public 0 0ZugZug challenge - 3rd WIPWork on the character continues! Lady Stoneheart is getting new accessories, and I'm keeping an eye out for details I missed or that need to be corrected. It's really helpful that I get to see other participants' work in the contest, and the feedback is also helpful—even if someone else's character is being discussed, you can always learn something for yourself. There are quite a lot strong specialists in the contest, and it's truly interesting to watch others work.ImageApril 29Public 0 0ZugZug challenge - 2st WIPNew WIP of my version of Lady Stoneheart. I'm still working on the character! I've redesigned the face (thanks, Gillyann@zugzug!) and am working on the details. The folds in the clothing and the coloring are still just sketches; I haven't had time to rework them yet. Feedback is welcome!ImageApril 25Public 0 0ZugZug challenge - 1st WIPApril 20 View post I decided to enter a contest organized by ZugZug Studios! They suggested A Song of Ice and Fire as the theme, and I chose Lady Stoneheart—the murdered and resurrected Catelyn Stark, who became an avenger for the deaths of her children and husband. I'm still playing with rough shapes and not going into detail. Some differences from the concept are just a matter of research; there's no point in repeating it exactly, considering concept art isn't really my thing. But I find the character interesting, and it's a pleasure working on her. #zugzugchallenge #workinprogressArticleApril 20Public 0 0
