Doug Jackson, with the help of people all over the world, has spent the last 10 years building it from the ground up. It hits the water in August and will sail to the Mississippi delta to begin it's life as a research vessel. It's really been a great experience. Not 100% sure I'll see it in person again. The intent really carries more weight than the actual money. I'm just glad that I'm in a position to work at my own pace, give the files away for free, print things for people who can't, and never having to worry about how to cover the costs of keeping this all alive.
