$1/moBeginner Lizard FinderThank you for supporting #FindThatLizard! Many lizards use push-ups as a form of communication. Normally they are telling rivals to get out of their territory or letting a potential mate know they are the best choice. In this case the lizards are doing push-ups to let you know that you're the best!Patrons enjoy early access to the #FindThatLizard challenge every Wednesday (1hr before public)
$5/moIntermediate Lizard FinderThank you for supporting #FindThatLizard! You've already gotten your appreciative push-ups from the lizards but the love you have shown in return requires a special shout out. I will acknowledge your patronage on Instagram and Bluesky!
$10/moExpert Lizard FinderThank you for supporting #FindThatLizard! All the benefits of the previous tiers! Expert lizard finders know what species they are looking for and where they are most likely to find them! But on occasion they need to ask their fellow herpers for advice. Patrons at this tier will have their questions about featured species prioritized and I will also prioritize any photos sent in as potential #FindThatLizard challenges!
$25/moLizard LassoerAll previous rewardsMonthly "Field Notes" voice memo or short video from the field (2–3 min, low-fi is fine) + behind-the-scenes photos from lizard hunts you're already on. Posted to Patreon only.#FindThatLizard is the good that I put into the world. Through this initiative I’ve been able to talk to thousands of you around the world about lizards, why they’re so cool, how we can protect them, and why it's important to support Black and other herpetologists of color. I’ve also been able to fundraise to give out almost $6000 in scholarships to aspiring herpetologists and for the last two years I’ve hosted in person lizard art walks. All this takes a lot of resources and I can’t do it without you!Being an independent scientist and science communicator is genuinely hard. There is no guaranteed income and yet the fieldwork is expensive and none of it is funded by a university or lab anymore. It's just me, my camera, and a lot of lizards. Your support at this tier helps cover field trip costs, gear, and the unglamorous stuff that keeps the lights. Your support ensures I can keep showing up every Wednesday with a new challenge. Your help behind the scenes is what makes this all possible.
$50/moSaurology SquadAll previous rewardsWelcome Gift! When you join this tier, you'll receive a small lizard-inspired ceramic piece. Each one will be made with my love and gratitude in my home studio. These shot-glass sized pieces are inspired by a different species from that have been featured on #FindThatLizard or ones I hope to feature in the future. The shape, glaze, and lizard changes periodically, so no two batches are exactly alike.I DREAM of one day making #FindThatLizard my full time job. Your support not only helps with the day to day management of all the initiatives I’m working on but also helps me get one step closer to this goal. Thank you for your financial support, believing in me and #FindThatLizard while I’m on this journey to share how awesome lizards are with the world increasing the representation of BIPOC scientists.Thank you so so so much for all of your support. Words cannot express how grateful I am 🦎💜
