Cirrus SR22 pilot forgets parachute and tragically diesJul 7, 2025 View post On January 21, 2024, a Cirrus SR22 (N255JP) crashed shortly after takeoff near Little Rock, Arkansas, fatally injuring the pilot and destroying the aircraft. The flight, conducted under Part 91 for personal use, departed from runway 4L. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot reported an engine failure. The airplane banked, descended, and impacted the ground near the airport fire station, followed by a postcrash fire. Wreckage analysis showed separated propeller blades with overload signatures and confirmed flight control continuity.
