January 18 0 likes 0 commentsNew Book Coming (Eventually)I sent off the manuscript for my next poetry book this week. Moon Tide Press has agreed to publish it, probably sometime in 2027. It contains most of my poems from the last fifteen years which have not been collected in a book yet. (I’m not a prolific writer,, so it’s only 40 pages in manuscript.) It does include such “hits” as “Charlie Brown in the Strip Club” and “I Don’t Need Tattoos, I Have Scars.” Putting it together felt like flexing my poetic muscles for the first time in a while.ArticleDec 18, 2025Public 0 0Planning Spring TourSep 19, 2025 View post I just booked a reading in St. Petersburg, Florida, for Sunday, April 26. Lots of familiar faces — poets I knew from my many years in SoCal. Since the date was Second Chances Day, my own little made-up holiday, I started the reading with the origins of that — my two second chances at life, twenty-five years apart. (For a full explanation, see my book). Which lead to the question, “What do you do with a second second chance?” For me, of course, the answer was, take care of my parents.
