It combines a number of things we've done on the homestead over the years and is built to allow others to put their hands in the homestead dirt while creating a nurturing environment to help them thrive and work toward acquiring their own homestead. Even more exciting, this is TWO YEARS ahead of schedule!Patronage has long supported the living needs of artists and this is your chance to bring the tradition back! All funds from this tier will be used to subsidize housing for an artist. This residency will allow artists to rearrange their finances, learn sustainable techniques to reduce their overhead costs, and most importantly, provide artists a pathway to homeownership!Housing is under construction and will be available by application with launch in late 2024. Artists sought will be mid career and in the early stages of considering homeownership. By subsidizing their housing, they will be able to save the needed down payment which can often be upwards of 3x their annual income.Applications will not be prohibitive like a standard grant. Applicants will be given a prompt to compose no more than a one page cover letter and will submit a professional CV. Detailed instructions and eligibility will be posted when construction is complete.
