$3/moSincere / صدوقIn traditional Hadith scholarship, a tradent is called ṣadūq (“sincere” or “trustworthy”) when they are neither strong nor weak in their transmission of Hadith, but somewhere in-between; but when they are still viewed broadly positively, or as well-meaning.
$6/moGood / حسنIn the traditional Hadith scholarship, ḥasan (“good”), when used for a tradent rather than a report, seems to have a similar meaning to ṣadūq, but perhaps with a bit more of a positive meaning. However, the term is much rarer than ṣadūq.
$10/moReliable / ثقةIn traditional Hadith scholarship, ṯiqah (“reliable”) is the standard term for a strong tradent, whose transmissions can ordinarily be relied upon, even in isolation, to establish the soundness of a hadith.
$20/moAuthoritative / حجةIn traditional Hadith scholarship, ḥujjah (“authoritative” or “proof”) is a term used for great Hadith scholars and master transmitters, those whose transmissions are prolific and respected.
$50/moLuminary / علامةIn traditional Hadith scholarship, ʿallāmah (“learned”, “erudite”, or “luminary”) is a term generally reserved for the greatest of Hadith scholars, the authors or compilers of great works of Hadith scholarship, those who influenced the discipline broadly.
$100/moOf the best people / من خيار الناسThis phrase, min ḵiyār al-nās (“of the best people” or “from the best of people”), is rare in traditional Hadith scholarship; it is a statement of extremely high praise, an expression of deep admiration.
