Squall is a precious painting to me and a favorite to the visitors of my studio. I was hesitant to make prints because the original is incredibly textured and layered. I found the original canvas next to a dumpster in college. I created a painting with giant woman on it for a class. I was unhappy with the results and decided to layer over it with gesso, coffee, ink, charcoal, and mulch! I went outside and took handfuls of dirt and mixed it with glue to apply it. It's disguised by layers of other material and a final polyurethane layer on top. The result created a giant, swirling storm of texture and color.
