$3/moMelumalaiMelumalai are the merchant caste of Varin, and they keep the economy running! They have much more contact with the various different members of the society than members of other castes. They pride themselves on their frankness and generosity. Their legislated castemark is a silver necklace with at least one chrysolite stone. They are known for their love of wearing colors.Subscribing to this tier will get you access to all chat channels in our community discord server, as well as showing your support for me and my career.
$3/moWelcome to Varin Under the Surface!Thank you for supporting me and helping me keep writing as my primary source of income! You'll get early access to all my posts, art, photos, maps, and stories.
$10/moVenoraiVenorai might be called the laborer caste, but they know not even the nobles would eat without them! The Venorai Union is the largest democratic institution in Varin, and anyone seven and older can vote. They pride themselves on loyalty, family, and on the quality of their work. Their legislated castemark is a leather belt five inches or wider. They are known for their cooperative strength. In addition to the benefits of the Melumalai tier, subscribing as a Venorai will get you access to an Ask Me Anything channel in the discord! I will do video AMAs periodically and give each question a well-thought-out answer, before publishing it to the Patreon for everyone. And as a final benefit for the generous tip, expect early access to all Patreon posts by a week.

$25/moArissenThe Arissen keep residents of the city-caverns safe. They were first assembled to protect Varini from wysps on the surface, which is why they wear rust-red as their legislated castemark (so their uniforms can be easily recognized in the wilderness). In the city, the form their red clothing takes is up to them, and this is only one of their many freedoms. They are known for health and vitality, their love of sports and betting, and their license to carry weapons. They are absolute gender egalitarians. In addition to the benefits of previous tiers, joining the Arissen tier will allow you to really take part in the community with writing workshops hosted by Juliette herself. She has run writing workshops for independent writers' groups before, as well as at local conventions. The number of spots available in this tier is based on the frequency and size of workshops that Juliette can accommodate.
$40/moGrobalGrobal are the noble caste of Varin, with refined tastes in excellent food and beautiful, bespoke clothing. They pride themselves on their respect for tradition and their altruism. They have no legislated castemark, and award life-changing levels of patronage to artists of all kinds. They are known for their love of jewel colors. In the Grobal tier, you can of course expect everything else from the previous tiers, plus a very special bonus!:One professional critique of a story or partial under 10,000 words. Writing professional critiques is a complex and time-consuming process, and so simply can't be done monthly for multiple people. If you have received a critique, you will be able to ask for another one after 6 months of continued subscription to this tier. If you want to subscribe to this tier, receive a critique, and then return to a lower tier, feel free, but the restriction will still apply if you decide to resubscribe.
