In music there are endless nostalgic songs; No Regrets sung famously by Edith Piaf and My Way by Frank Sinatra, both of which look over a life and say, for all of it, they wouldn’t have done anything differently, are perhaps the best known. There is a real pathos in the theme of time, that as beings who are aware of our own mortality really connects with us and having no regrets can be a defiant declaration to not waste time analysing the past, but accepting it’s what got you to where you are now.
