We were happy to oblige and talk about the tying and use of the knot and why we make adjustments in the canyon when we see the girth hitch improperly deployed. You always want to be thinking about mitigating the forces that could break your system in the canyons and by properly aligning the knot in the girth hitch you can take away a huge amount of pressure that is usually applied to this knot when it is deployed.
