This scruffy white fluffball wasn’t too keen on us at first — and who could blame him? He’d likely never been professionally groomed before, and we had to use gentle sedation just to begin. What we found under those rock-hard mats, especially around his bum, was a surprisingly soft, shiny white coat—and a dog with a whole lot of personality.Dumbo lives at a Thai restaurant in the south of Koh Samui, where he’s completely adored by the kind ladies who care for him. Between chicken liver treats and BBQ snacks, he’s living the good life — but grooming remained a challenge. He especially hates having his feet touched (and he’ll make that very clear). For a long time, sedation was the only way we could finish his grooms safely.But this little guy surprised us. The last time we visited, we decided to try something new. No sedation — just a gentle muzzle, a lift onto the truck… and Dumbo was an absolute angel.
