Article A Weapon Too Free - Chapters 10-13 A little early this month! This was mostly revised last month but then I suddenly got inspired for the story that I put out and this was shelved until that was done. Story - Moonsweepers This adventuresome sci-fi tale is actually technically a spin-off from an ongoing (and probably ill-advised) board game project. I got a little to into the backstories of some of the characters and they burst out into a full-blown story. I kind of built the rest of the story around it, and even I didn't know how it was going to end until I was most of the way through writing it. I've had a few other projects on the go this month (more on that in a later post), so it was a little chafing to see this story balloon up to over 10k words in such a short month. I barely finished it in time. I like it, though. It's cheeky. It's a sword & sorcery adjacent tale about someone overcoming toxic masculinity. Also pushing it out earlier in the month because I'm getting tired of suddenly remembering I need to finish a story off close to the end of the month. Article Oct 12, 2025 Story: Gates This story has finally got to where I wanted to be. It's short enough to be flash fiction, but it took a lot of balancing to get right. Article Sep 30, 2025 Story: #48 Destroying Angel This is a story about how Funkopops are evil, and how their collectors are an existential threat to civilisation (and I'm only 90% joking). I had a story lined up for last month, but wasn't completely happy with how it had turned out and ran out of time to fix it. I thought I might get that one and another story out this month, but it's been nothing but piles and piles of stress and disruption recently. I imagine that's been the case for most of us.
