March 15 View post The iron bark and the ghost gum Where do our branches still touch? Where have our branches fallen away? Weathering many storms together After this many years No tree goes undamaged In shedding my bark I shed you too Throwing away The good with the bad As if there was no other way (There is always a way) Over time The wind blew you away from me Gently at first I didn’t notice It then insisted If we dug up the earth around our roots I would find you again You would find me Or possibly We are more rotten Than we even imagined Saplings grow beneath us Showing us There is good here Even in pain Even in death Even in The in between.

Beginnings of a sad song ❤️So many sad songs came out last year, what a blessing it is to be able to turn my sadness into something. To grow something beautiful out of grief. To honour a relationship, to feel my feelings and to maybe speak to the parts of others that didn’t know they felt this way too.ImageJanuary 25Public 0 1Thank you ❤️I appreciate you all. It's a beautiful song by Icelandic Singer/songwriter Svavar Knutur. I got to see him again at The National Folk Festival last weekend and it was magical! We love this song! We’re having a practice and getting ready for Bundanoon Folk Festival in a couple of weeks. It was a bit windy and I filmed this quickly on my phone but I still like it. He’s such a wonderful and lovely kid and I love singing with him and spending time with him so much. He’s 14 in a couple of weeks! I love watching him grow as a musician and I will sing with him any chance I get. ❤️ArticleNov 12, 2023Public 0 0
