Jan 8, 2022 0 likes 0 commentsEp. 51 - Tom's Harbor Keys and the First Storm of Hurricane Season 2020 ~ Big Easy Sailing We settle into a comfortable liveaboard life again at Tom's Harbor Keys. That is until Hurricane Season 2020 starts early and we find ourselves along the very beginning of the path of Tropical Storm Arthur. After all the winds and rain we decide to swim over to the private island until we get visited by two large tarpon. Before we leave the secluded anchorage we face one more storm that almost puts us in the mangroves. Image Dec 20, 2020 Public 0 0Ep. 50 - Our First Time Sailing on the Atlantic Ocean ~ Big Easy Sailing We leave the Lower Matecumbe Key and continue heading south through the Florida Keys. We cross over from the Gulf side to the Atlantic Ocean for our first time sailing in the ocean. The winds completely die down and we decide to change our plans and anchor just outside of Long Key State Park for the night before we continue on to Tom's Harbor Keys. Article Dec 6, 2020 Public 0 0Ep. 49 - Sandbar Party with Voodoo ~ Big Easy Sailing We leave the mooring at Lignumvitae Key and make the short jump over to Lower Matecumbe Key, sailing through crystal clear waters. We enjoy a fun day playing with Voodoo at the sandbar at White Marlin Beach. Image Nov 27, 2020 Public 0 0Ep. 48 - Mooring at Lignumvitae Key ~ Big Easy Sailing We finally sailed away from Islamorada, but since we had to tack across the whole Barley Basin we changed our plans. We decided to stop at Lignumvitae Key and picked up our first mooring ball for the night. We settled in for the night with some sundowners from our favorite Park Ranger Kim. We had to repair our traveler car block after all the tacking we did before we continued sailing to White Marlin Beach. Article Nov 14, 2020 Public 0 0
