$60/moThe Creating Hour: OnlineHiddenWorkouts for your creative time, wherever you find it. Welcome to The Creating Hour, a collection of artists who have committed to finding time each week to do their craft. Each Sunday, I will post a unique, hour-long lesson plan— you can also think of it as a workout— so that you can make the most of your creative time once you have it. The plans are built to be adjustable to your artistic process and medium—they will help you build creative habits and spark ideas. And they can be done anytime during the week. What will this look like? Each week, you’ll commit to getting yourself to the desk/ woodshop/ drawing table/ pottery studio/ sewing machine. Then you’ll simply open up your computer to this week’s plan.Lesson plans will include: An introductory activity (10 minutes) A timed brainstorming exercise (10 minutes) A structured chunk of time to work on your project (30 minutes) A progress check-in (5 minutes) This includes an opportunity to continue creating for 20 minutesAn exit ticket (5 minutes) Do you need to do all of the exercises in the lesson plan each week? Of course not! They are all meant to spark your creative brain— maybe you only need one activity to get you to where you need to be, maybe after 30 minutes you get carried away by an idea, and never return. That’s sort of the goal. The point of these lesson plans is to: BUILD CREATIVE HABITSTake away the paralysis of decisionCreate an easy on-ramp to your creative goalsGuarantee that your time will be spent creati
