$3/moJust CuriousHiddenThanks for hanging out with us! I began this project to save an old shed, but I couldn't have imagined all the other places and topics we could explore. I hope we can continue to tease out your curiosity, inspire people to brush the dust off an old project forgotten in the corner, and inch it towards success.
With your support finishing the shed is just the beginning of this adventure..
$5/moSipp'n CoffeeHiddenI didn't like coffee for the longest time, but recently it's become a great way to do a little morning reflection and think about the day ahead. I can't wait until we get an old fashion percolator to sit on our wood-burning stove at the shed and then tackle some adventure outside.
Five bucks won't get you far in Starbucks, but water, fire, and electricity will be free on our land and it will keep our cups full with some change left over to buy supplies.
$10/moCountry DinerHiddenIn rural Tennessee, it's still possible to buy some veggies at a local stand or market and cook an amazing meal for less than 10 bucks. It won't be fancy, but it will taste incredible. In the coming years, ten dollars will buy a lot of seeds and seedlings. We plan to replant some fields on the land like the two families before us. We also want to install hydroponic systems we have in suburbia and explore both the old and the new tech. I hope we can share some recipes with everyone as well. Your contribution will make a big difference on our farm table.
$25/moShop TalkHiddenYou might have heard the saying "if you have nothing to do, then please go do it somewhere else." Well, for 25 dollars you can hang out just as long as you like. We won't even ask you to help unless you want to. We're excited by all the possibilities and projects that we can do on this 22 acres. I hope it doesn't stop with the shed completion or even stay focused on construction.
I have a lot of hobbies from lock picking to longboards, but I never would have believed sanding, repainting, and rebuilding a brush hog we picked up on Facebook marketplace would have been in the "fun to do in my free time" category. With supporters like you, I hope to discover many more things of joy on this land that I didn't know existed before.
$50/moInvestorHiddenOkay, clearly you're on the fringe. That is a lot of money to help a stranger, but even if I know you - Thank YOU! we really hope to do some incredible things with this and we already have some ideas of potential spin-off products after I finish college. It's pretty incredible to think that today one can run into a problem on what seems like the most obscure topic and someone has already posted a detailed solution on YouTube or blog.
I know that not everyone has the time or even desire to build a house and all of its sub-systems from scratch and I hope to pay forward with plans, DIY kits, or finished products to bring our solutions to your home.
Thank you for your support. This really helps!
$100/moAngel - Dream MakerHiddenWOW! This seems completely crazy to contribute at this level. I am grateful beyond words. This project began in my last two years of college and that's about the age when you begin to realize how much things really cost. Your contribution will help defer the seemingly never-ending $100+ carts at Home Depot, Lowes, or Amazon. At the same time, we are also trying to repurpose a lot of things from the barn and also shop locally at flea markets and yard sales.
I can't imagine in 25 years when people are selling new old stock solar charge controllers and digital oscilloscopes for a couple of dollars, but for now, your support will help us add cutting-edge technology to our century-old farm and be the seed capital for some other great projects we've planned for the future.
Thank you for your generous support. I hope one day we get to meet so I can thank you in person.
