£4/moMickey Mouse GuitarMy Mickey Mouse Guitar was my most prized possession when I was aged 2, so this is definitely not a 'Mickey Mouse' amount in my eyes and your generous support is extremely highly valued!
£8/moWatkins Rapier 33My red Watkins Rapier 33 guitar was my first electric guitar, which was bought for me by my dad when I was 14. It was my only electric guitar right up until my last few months at music college, so was as crucial to my early development as a guitarist as your amazing generosity is now to my continued development as a composer.
£19/moYamaha SG700This was my first serious professional guitar, a fantastic instrument with a big, chunky sound, which I bought with my inheritance money when I was 20, about a year before this photo was taken. I still have it and have used it on many recordings and gigs, including the first Iona album and most recently on a track on Lifesign's Altitude album. 'Wow' was my reaction when I first played it, and 'wow' is my reaction now to your wonderful support as we journey together on this new adventure!
£40/moFernandes MayflyBought in January 2001, this has been my go to guitar ever since. Modified to include a Roland midi pick up for added sonic possibilities, I've used this on pretty much every tour and recording over the past 21 years, including on all my solo albums, later Iona albums, and recordings with Lifesigns (think 'Last One Home' solo), DBA, Strawbs and many others. It has accompanied me around the world and has become an invaluable part of my music making. Your incredible support at this level also make you an invaluable part of the music I will be making from this point onwards.
£75/moFazioli Grand PianoThis is the most expensive piano I've ever played on. The studio paid £120,000 ($163,000) over 10 years ago for it. Although I'll never be able to afford to buy one, your patronage at this level is every bit as valued! It is truly amazing, like this piano and I'm bowled over. And if this takes off I hope I can record another solo piano album soon using this very piano.
