Ps. The photo above is a picture of me dressed up like the Baroness Pontalba, enjoying a Sazerac with 19th century daguerreotype artist : Jules Lion at Tujaque's (nee Begue's) in the historic French Quarter, New Orleans.
M. Lion was a Free Man of Color, who captured the likeness of avian artist John James Audubon in 1860, General Andrew Jackson in 1840 and has been given the title : "Father of American Photography".
The Sazerac is a classic cocktail, consisting of : rye whiskey, bitters, absinthe, a tiny bit of sugar and a lemon peel.

Ps. The photo above is a selfie. I took it in my studio before a reading of a show I wrote called TRIGGER WARNING : The Play About the Baby or KNOCK ME UP : The Last Time He Hit Me.
The piece is about : loss, addiction forgiveness and grief. It was my virgin attempt at a musical. I would call it a "dramedy".
That's Virginia Woolf over my shoulder : looking like she's floating away from me. She wrote a book called "A Room of One's Own" which is important to me.
The ring I bought when my biological father died. I didn't know him. I got it to remind myself not to throw pearls before swine. That's a biblical reference, meaning : Love Yourself.

Ps. The photo above is a production shot from a show I helped create called "WIT AND WRATH : The Life and Times of Dorothy Parker". The actress and co-Creator is Claudia Baumgarten, of Miss Claudia's Vintage Clothing and Costumes in New Orleans. I directed the piece.
Dorothy Parker was the first American female drama critic, among many other things. She once said that the fear of being rude was the root cause of the loss of her virginity. She said it better than me.
I would like very much to continue creating meaningful theatrical work.
