To help you get an idea of what a Jangmadang looks like inside, I’ve drawn a diagram of how the stalls look like. Jangmadangs are open air spaces with sheet metal roofs built over the stalls to offer some shade from the weather. The ground is generally a combination of cement and dirt hardened by thousands of trampling feet.
