The HBO series purports some empowerment of its female characters, but I can’t help but notice how its men continue to drain the four main women to death. I’m curious, with this comic project, how vampirism might actually give a taste of power to Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha. I’m continuing to experiment with different ways to use copyrighted media in my comics; what’s way out beyond that bleak horizon of fandom; what troubles parody today; what work might problematize and finally disrupt intellectual property?
