There are always little, tiny errors that feel catastrophic. But the paperback and hardback editions of Echoterminus are finally authorised, and should start appearing on various bookshop websites as well as Amazon over the next week or so. The ISBN's somehow, finally came through, not helped by a nearly week-long delay while the local ISBN authority literally shut down for the duration of an under the hood redesign. It's highly debatable whether I need an ISBN for the physical editions of my books, which sell in relatively small numbers compared to the ebooks, but it's something I feel driven to sort out. Except getting ISBN's in Taiwan is torturous: not only is the website for obtaining them constructed almost entirely in traditional Mandarin, it's been shut down, without warning, for maintenance for a week .
