View post Hello! How are you? It's been a hot minute since we made a hiking film what with all this sailing malarky over the last couple of years, so we're delighted to share this new ambient hiking film of Norway's Lofoten Long Crossing with you : ) Last summer we hitched a ride on tall ship Bessie Ellen from Inverness to Stavanger and back, with a month in between to do as we please. Our visit to Eileach an Naoimh, the southernmost island of the Garvellachs (Rough Islands) archipelago was a highlight of our trip, wandering among the ruins of a beehive cell and monastery founded in 542 AD by St Brendan the Navigator (20 years before St Columba founded the much more famous one on Iona). Our latest film follows our departure from Troon towards Oban, with visits to the uninhabited (at the time - it's since been bought by Mowi) island of Sanda, the bird and kelp haven of Rathlin Island in NI, and on to Islay for some blissful sunny dog walks and peaceful coastal drifting.
