No fear though, yesterday I finished making the map and am currently waiting on the final renders to complete. This is just a wuick update to let you all know I am back to work. Looking at the render progress, I can hear the thunder of the falls. There are some small corrections to make, but otherwise I am ready to render. In the image you see the focal point of this map - the waterfall and chasm. Here you see the complex rock and gravel of the cavern floor. There seems to be a slight green tint, perhaps from slime. This is a pretty damp place. On the right you see the deep pit into which the waterfall will dive. There is a little fog at the bottom. Today sees the cavern, chasm, and tunnels finished. This was more of a challenge than expected. I could have gone two directions. One way was to create a height map. Lighter greys represent higher elevation, dimmer greys represent lower points on the map. I have done this before with my previous maps, "Long Barrow" and "Ringed Ruins." I do not tread the same ground if I don't have to. This map is a dark and wet one. Adventurers frequently find themselves 'neath the earth. On occasion, they find find a special place. This map is a subterranean cavern. In the center is a chasm into which falls a river. Should the waterfall be skirted?
