View post Good morning! An upper trough and frontal system are moving through the northeast, and cold air aloft is making conditions unstable. Rain across Suffolk is continuing to head east with the warm front, and localized flooding is possible. This will be offshore by 11 am. Skies will partially clear, but isolated showers and thunderstorms will pop up from about any time before 12 am tonight, with about 30% of the region seeing them. Given the relatively low cape and high shear, isolated severe storms can’t be ruled out, with the main threats being gusty winds and small hail. SPC has the area in a marginal (1/5) risk.
