CAD 3/moPine PatronI'm making my workbench out of pine... it's the foundation tool of my shop and my work and so is your support. For the cost of buying me a coffee once per month you get access to Patron-Only content in the form of videos and blogs that keep you up to date on what's going on in the shop and whatever (mis)adventures I'm up to. Thank you!
CAD 10/moAsh Patron"Of all the trees that grow so fair, Old England to adorn, greater are none beneath the sun than oak and ash and thorn." -Rudyard Kipling Ah, my great, fair friend! Thank you for this show of support! My Ash Patrons enjoy the benefits of the Pine Tier and also have access to a monthly live feed where we get to discuss whatever you're interested in. I do this from the workshop so this is your chance to ask questions about my setup, projects you're working on, or your favourite sandwich ingredients.
CAD 25/moOak Patron"The tallest oak in the forest was once a little nut that held it's ground" Yes! Let's grow this little nut into a giant oak! This kind of support is what helps us gain ground and I'm deeply grateful. Oak Patrons get all the benefits of Ash plus get their name credited in my videos for being Patreon supporters!
CAD 50/moWalnut Patron"Trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit" My walnut Patrons will get all the benefits of the Oak tier and will also get a monthly one-on-one chat! This is a great way to do some brainstorming/ problem solving about your own projects... or just check in! I like that too! This type of support is very meaningful to me and to my work and I'm very grateful.
CAD 100/moAmbrosia Maple Patron"Maples are such sociable trees... they're always rustling and whispering to you" - Lucy Maud Montgomery Okay, I know Ambrosia maple is just maple that's been infected with fungus-carrying beetles but gosh it's awfully pretty... I'm certain there's a parable in there or something? Anyways, this is a very significant contribution and I am so grateful. Thank you very very much. Ambrosia Maple patrons receive all of the benefits of the Walnut tier but will also be entered into an annual draw for a custom piece. (This will be made of up to 4 parts so could be a wall hanging shelf, small bench, or other thing you may imagine. We will design it together and it will be made lovingly and filmed in process so you can see how it all comes together!)

A common problem folks have with custom woodwork… is not knowing how to ask for what we want or describe what we like. Most people don’t know what species of wood speaks to them or whether they like a low build or high build finish. But they can usually pick it out when it’s in front of them.ArticleJanuary 13Public 0 0Workshop UpdateI managed to get the Church Pew project completed in a bench room that was definitely NOT completed. It’s a three-way lap joint which results in something g that can look like the diamond grid and result in similar patterns but if you get the finicky part of it right it gives a very solid base to build your patterns from. I might have to go into further detail in a video over on the YouTubes regarding the benefits of this since it’s kind of a lot to get into but it is quite cool.VideoDec 12, 2025Public 0 1Kumiko Experiment #2The second jigume is the diamond grid. The angles are different, the patterns that arise are different (although some very interestingly similar). Do you see that same Asa-no-ha hemp leaf pattern forming? So interesting!
