$2/moShot of EspressoYou all are the bones & foundation of this container and I am grateful for your contribution. The more people who are pledged at the $2 level, the deeper & stronger the foundation of this project. Thank you. At this level, you'll get access to all patreon-exclusive content, including but not limited to stories, essays, poems, photographs.
$5/moEspresso for twoEspresso becomes less about the senses and more about the encounter when there's enough for two. Drip by drip, community builds and relationships grow roots. Careers and movements are also built one drip at a time. Thank you for helping build relationships and for valuing encounters. At this level, you'll get the rewards above, and a weekly reflection/journaling/creating prompt.
$10/moBowl of Soup & Loaf of BreadI find that there is little that comforts quite like a hot bowl of soup and a chunk of homemade bread. And as much as I love soups with many ingredients, there's a simplicity and deliciousness to be found in soups with just a few: carrot & ginger, for example, topped with roasted pumpkin seeds. Pair it with a dish whose color contrasts the soup and you have beauty in a bowl. Thank you for helping add simplicity & beauty into the world. At this reward level, you'll receive all the earlier rewards, plus I'll host a quarterly (maybe more often) video chat for you all. The days & times will vary so as to allow for participation from folks around the world.
$23/moPot of Soup for the FamilyMy favorite thing about making soup is that often it is leftover parts (bits of veggies, chicken bones and so on) that form the foundation. And then, with a few key ingredients, and some flour, water, yeast, a meal is prepared and many can be fed. Thank you for helping nourish a (growing) community. At this level, your rewards will include all previous rewards, plus a handwritten letter (in the mail!) every once in a while. The letter will be unique to you and not duplicated anywhere.
$36/moA Piece (peace) of my WorldThis photo was taken on one of my walks in the woods. I go there often to sort things out; every place I've lived, I manage to suss out the spots where there are trees, even in the cities. While I walk I often find little treasures that I collect. Sometimes I leave the treasures as gifts for others along the path. Sometimes I bring the treasures home. Thank you for helping me create new worlds and carry parts of this world into the worlds we're imagining. This reward level includes all of the previous rewards, plus an occasional mailing of a treasure that I've found. It might be a treasure from nature, or it might be a treasure from a shop or an encounter with an artisan. Whatever it is, it will be specially selected with you in mind.
$50/moNothing beats an Old-fashioned Care PackageOne of my greatest sources of joy is sending snail mail packages to people. It's a special super power of mine, really. From the stamps to the designs on the package to the contents inside... all of it brings me joy and delight to think about. There's something magical about opening a package filled with treasures. We can all use a little more joy and wonder, right? Thank you for helping bring a little more joy and wonder into the world. At this reward level, I'd like to mail you a care package once in a while (plus all the other levels). I can't tell you now what will be in it, but I can guarantee you it will be filled with delight.
$75/moTogether We Get FreeTransformation only happens in community. And I believe that when it happens solo, it's still tied intricately to those around us. Thank you for helping create a place for community and freedom. In the coming year I'll be teaching a few courses online. They will be short (4-6 weeks) and foundational. At this reward level, you get all of the previous rewards and one spot in one of my online classes yearly + then a scholarship for someone else to join in, plus listing in the acknowledgments in my novels when they are published.
$150/moSaving GraceEach of these cards is handmade by a creator. Sending mail and such to folks via Patreon allows me to support local (and not so local but still known personally or professionally) artists and makers. I believe we must do this for each other. On a local AND a global level. At this level of support, you are a saving grace, both in my life, and in the lives of those I can support, thanks to things like Patreon. Thank you for that. As a reward, you'll get something that I make by hand yearly (we can discuss this) and a recipe every once in a while from my kitchen, plus all previous rewards.
