Yes I am. Am I finishing any drawings? No I am not. I seem to in the middle of a difficult learning curve where making myself complete a piece seems like a sure fire way to slow down and ruin it. I’ve also fallen into drawing some stuff that can charitably called ‘niche’. Fortunately, somewhere in that I fancied drawing Snake Plissken… even if the commitment failed before completion :) But at least I have something worth sharing.ArticleNov 10, 2024Public 0 1Rob ZombieSep 17, 2024 View post No strong feelings about Mr Zombie (except that we seem to like a lot of the same things), I drew this because I liked the photo. I also wanted to try out a different approach to drawing. There’s a good chance this is a wonky drawing (I could flip it to better see flaws, but I don’t want to) but the approach was the point. Was quite pleased with it - starting with roughly blocking things out with graphite powder and then refining and adding detail or removing with an eraser. I’ve been trying out more pics like this and have been enjoying it.ArticleSep 17, 2024Public 0 0Repo ManI really need to figure how to get better photos - glare is a real problem!Imagemaybe 6Public 0 0An art, a birthday and a hospitalMay 13, 2024ImageMay 13, 2024Public 0 0Ghosts againApr 21, 2024ArticleApr 21, 2024Public 0 4DevilmanHas it really been over a month since I last posted? Yes. Yes it has. Not posted a finished piece of work to IG or bluesky since the 1st week of January. And honestly, it feels pretty good. I’m putting off posting because I know once I do I’ll start thinking about likes and engagement and that soul destroying stuff.ImageMar 11, 2024Public 0 2BannerFeb 5, 2024ArticleFeb 5, 2024Public 0 3NeverwhereLaura Fraser as Door from the BBC version of Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere. Went back to charcoal for this and realised I’d forgotten how to use it! Still, it’s not too terrible :DImageDec 18, 2023Public 0 0
