JAT501 inline boardsHi everyone! Patreon changes so much I have a hard time figuring it out. Anyhoo, a supporter has some inline JAT501 amplifier board extras he has available and homemade coils. Follow the link if interested. I have no other relationship other than the posting the link.ArticleNov 14, 2024Public 0 7The Lights Are Still On!It has been a while since I last posted here. It has been a chaotic year for me (not all bad, though). We'll see. Also, I've changed my thinking on the JAT EZ Amp. With all the tinkering I've done using an op amp input stage, I'm thinking of doing this with the EZ amp design. This would reduce the part count and should retain high performance. The EZ Amp should be able to reach around 75 watts into a 4 Ohm load. I may consider an even simpler low voltage version. Stay tuned.VideoMar 5, 2023Public 0 7JAT801 amplifier schematicI have finished the schematic for the JAT801 amplifier project. It may have changes after the design is actually built and subjected to several tests. Instead of attempting to breadboard this thing, I'll just have boards made, populate one with parts and test. Thanks for hanging in there with me!ImageJan 16, 2023Public 0 4It's Been A While...Nov 28, 2022ArticleNov 28, 2022Public 0 10Three new amplifier designs coming!Apr 22, 2022 View post Hi everyone! I've been working on three new amplifier designs (well 2-1/2 actually). First is the JAT801, a higher power amplifier that can deliver around 200 watts into 4 ohm loads yet retain the good performance of the JAT501. The "Son of EZ" amp project, which I mentioned before, is a much simplified circuit that is easy to build and delivers around 30-40 watts into 8 ohms and ~70 into 4. The JAT501H is a "hot-rodded" version of the JAT501 to give a little more power to those who want to use 8 ohm speakers for about 80 watts or so. Thank You for your support!ArticleApr 22, 2022Public 0 3JAT501 amplifier PC board files now available!Below is the link to my Google drive where you can access the files.ArticleMar 9, 2022Public 0 12The Son of EZ AMPI'm planning to design a very simple discrete amplifier similar to the defunct EZ amp project. The idea is that it is simple yet sounds good. Power would be in the 40 watt range at 8 Ohms and around 70 with 4 Ohms. There can be versions of this amplifier that can use low cost parts and operate on lower voltages (with less power output) What do you think?ImageFeb 12, 2022Public 0 11JAT501 boards waiting for videoJan 22, 2022VideoJan 22, 2022Public 0 5Final update of 2021I hope to get one more video in before the year is over.
